Rep. Sam Rohrer and representatives from local governments and school boards unveil the Emergency Mandate Suspension Act (EMSA) at a news conference in the Capitol media center.  EMSA is intended to rush financial relief to local authorities and the taxpayers who fund them. 


Rep. Rohrer lead a bicameral group of fiscally responsible lawmakers as they unveiled the Pact with Pennsylvania, a proposed agreement between legislators and the taxpayers they represent in the state Legislature that offers commonsense principles to deal with Pennsylvania’s looming budget deficit and bring spending into balance with revenues.

Rep. Rohrer recently held a telephone town hall meeting, where citizens were able to ask questions about a broad range of issues and receive answers without having to leave the comfort of their own homes.  Hundreds of residents participated in the meeting, which included questions about property tax elimination, federal measures to implement a national identification card, the current state of the economy and federal bailout spending initiatives. 


Rep. Rohrer, joined by lawmakers from Pennsylvania and across the nation, unveiled the 10th Amendment Resolution at a packed rally in the Capitol Rotunda.
